NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have charged two teenage boys in a string of armed robberies in New Castle.
Troopers say the most recent robbery was Sunday night at a Wawa on East Basin Road. Police say two youths, one armed with a handgun, confronted and employee and demanded cash. The employee gave the two youths money from the cash register, and the suspects ran away.
Investigators say they identified two youths, one 15 and one 16, as suspects and arrested them on Monday.
Troopers say further investigation linked the youths to three other armed robberies in the past month, two of them at the same Wawa that was robbed on Sunday.
The youths are charged with numerous counts of armed robbery and other offenses.
