WEST BEND, Wis. (AP) - The Red Cross is assisting three dozen people displaced by an apartment fire in West Bend.
Firefighters were called to the 16-unit apartment building shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday. West Bend fire officials say the blaze started in the basement and reached the first floor.
No tenants or firefighters were injured. One cat died in the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
