CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Huntington’s Steve Fox has been selected for induction into the West Virginia Golf Hall of Fame.

The West Virginia Golf Association announced the selections Tuesday.

Joining Fox in this year’s class are the late Sally Carroll and the late Larry Martin. An induction ceremony will take place in November.

Fox won the state Amateur in 1988 and 1994 and is a multiple winner of other statewide tournaments. He’s been the Golf Association’s president since 2013.

Carroll was a seven-time state Women’s Amateur champion and served as president of the U.S. Women’s Golf Association. She died in 2012 in Wheeling at age 85.

Martin founded the state’s Top Flite Junior Tour in 1984, introducing thousands of children to the game of golf. The Williamstown resident died in 2012 at age 58.
