VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Officials are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for a string of 15 fires on Vancouver’s west side.
The Columbian newspaper in Vancouver reports (https://is.gd/e6rywq ) that no one was hurt in any of the blazes reported Saturday and Monday. Damaged property includes garbage and recycling receptacles, fences, part of a Mazda truck, flags, and a paper bag on a front porch.
Vancouver Fire Marshal Heidi Scarpelli said that the fires are related.
A person was seen running from one of the scenes, but investigators do not a have a description of the suspect.
The Vancouver Police Arson Unit is working with the Vancouver Fire Marshal’s Office to investigate. The reward is being offered through the Arson Alarm Foundation.
