SANFORD, Mich. (AP) - Authorities are seeking to identify three men responsible for vandalizing a dam in Midland County.

The sheriff’s department says video footage from the Sanford Dam in the village of Sanford indicates that the men broke windows, lights and a camera about 2:50 a.m. Monday.

The department says Wednesday that construction scaffolding also was thrown in to the river. The dam had to be shut down so divers could remove the scaffolding.

Sanford is located about 110 miles northwest of Detroit. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the sheriff’s department.
