FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - DTE Energy Co. says crews at Fermi 2 nuclear power plant have dealt with a sewer line leak near an administrative building.

The Monroe News reports (https://bit.ly/1R3Bsjg ) the leak was detected Tuesday morning and fewer than 200 gallons of wastewater leaked into an onsite storm drain. DTE spokesman Stephen Tait says a contractor pumped out the wastewater before it could get into any waterways.

Detroit-based DTE’s plant is along Lake Erie in Monroe County’s Frenchtown Township. The newspaper says the leak didn’t affect operations at the reactor.
