EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - A conference aimed at helping female military veterans will be in Evansville next month.

The Evansville Courier and Press reports (https://bit.ly/1IJdWXq ) the University of Evansville will kick off the 6th annual Honoring Women Veterans Conference on June 6. Attendance is free for female veterans but registration is required by Friday.

Former Marine Betty Moseley Brown is associate director of the Center for Women Veterans at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She’ll be this year’s guest speaker at the one-day conference.

The conference is run by the nonprofit group Tri-State Women Veterans.
