ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Aspen police have arrested a Grand Junction-area woman, who they say tried to burglarize a home.

The Aspen Times reports (https://bit.ly/1PWiA3k) 18-year-old Brittany Storms was advised Monday of felony charges of first-degree trespassing, second-degree burglary and criminal impersonation in Pitkin County District Court.

Police arrested Storms after a resident of a Shady Lane home reported that a young woman had entered her home.

Police found the suspect walking nearby without having taken anything from the home. Storms told police she was fascinated with the glass door of the residence, so she walked in.

Public defender Sara Steele says authorities don’t have enough evidence to charge Storms with burglary.

Prosecutor Andrea Bryan says the residence was out of Storms’ way and she didn’t have a reason to be there.

Storms is due back in court June 1.
