Iowa woman faces charges in alleged abuse at home day care

PLEASANT HILL, Iowa (AP) - A Pleasant Hill woman faces child endangerment charges in connection with alleged abuse at a home day care.

Pleasant Hill police say 28-year-old Christina Williamson faces charges including child endangerment causing serious injury and willful injury causing bodily injury.

Online records show Williamson was booked Wednesday morning into the Polk County Jail. She is being held on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. Court records do not list an attorney.

Police say they received a child abuse complaint about Williamson, who runs day care services from a home. Des Moines television station KCCI reports (https://bit.ly/1BcJVr2 ) police identified three victims through surveillance video from the home.
