COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A jury has convicted an Ohio man in the kidnapping and torture of three people two years ago.

The Columbus Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1IP31tA ) a jury on Tuesday found 31-year-old Obryan Jones guilty of kidnapping, felonious assault, aggravated robbery and rape.

Three people testified during the trial that they were abducted at gunpoint by a group of men at the Jones’ house when they went there to return a cellphone in July 2013. One victim says Jones tried to pull some of his teeth with a pair of locking pliers.

Jones argued Monday that prosecutors had no physical evidence of the assaults and witnesses against him lied.

He faces decades in prison when he’s sentenced Thursday.

His former girlfriend, Belynda Coffman, pleaded guilty in October to abduction in the case.
