PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia City Council’s website has been restored after a hacking incident replaced news about legislation with text on a black screen criticizing the site’s security.
The site remained disabled for several hours Wednesday morning. It was fixed by 11 a.m.
It’s not clear who is responsible. A message posted during the attack attributed it to “Cyb3r CommandOS.”
The message described them as an “International Underground Hacking Team” and made references to Islam and Israel.
No other city websites were affected.
