MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police in central Kentucky say southbound Interstate 75 has reopened at the site of a seven-vehicle crash that killed two people.

Police say six 18-wheelers and a passenger car were involved in the crash just before 1 p.m. EDT Tuesday around mile marker 71 in northern Rockcastle County. Police said just before midnight that the interstate had reopened.

Officer Steven Douglas of state police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement said the passenger car driver who was pronounced dead on the scene was 34-year-old Jonathan D. Roark of Barbourville. The other person who was killed hasn’t been identified pending notification of family.
