KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - The eastbound lane of Interstate 40 in northwestern Arizona has been reopened after a commercial vehicle caught fire and started a brushfire east of Kingman.

Arizona Department of Transportation officials say the right lane of the freeway is expected to remain closed for an extended period after Wednesday morning’s fire.

ADOT officials say the semi-truck fire caused a brush fire south of the freeway that was quickly contained.

The cause of the vehicle fire isn’t immediately available.
