ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) - The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating after a small plane crashed near the runway of Smartt Field, an airport in St. Charles County.
The crash happened Tuesday night. Authorities say the plane lost power and crashed about a half-mile short of the runway. The pilot and one passenger were inside, but were unhurt. The plane had only minor damage.
