JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Fees and total costs will rise at the University of Southern Mississippi and Jackson State University because of new student fees approved Thursday by the College Board. Here’s a look at tuition and fees for two semesters (fall and spring), as well as the percentage change from the current academic year:

- Alcorn State: $6,386, up 3 percent.

- Delta State: $6,112, up 1.7 percent (includes a $50-a-semester facilities fee).



- Jackson State: $6,986, up 5.8 percent (includes a $50-a-semester facilities fee and $10-a-semester activities fee).

- Mississippi State: $7,502, up 5.1 percent (includes a $50-a-semester facilities charge and a $5-a-semester activities fee).

- Mississippi University for Women: $5,781, up 2.5 percent (includes a $50-a-semester facilities fee).

- Mississippi Valley State: $5,936, up 0.3 percent (includes a $10-a-semester activities fee).

- University of Mississippi: $7,454, up 5 percent (includes a $50-a-semester facilities fee and a $5-a-semester activities fee).

- University of Mississippi Medical Center: $7,344, up 5 percent.

- University of Southern Mississippi: $7,334, up 5.1 percent. (includes a $35-a-semester facilities fee and a $20-a-semester activities fee).
