LAUREL, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County fire officials have recovered the body of a missing motorist in Laurel after his pickup truck was swept away in high water.
Officials identified the man to be 47-year-old Rene Dimanche Jr., who was reported missing Tuesday.
Dimanche’s pickup truck was swept off the road. Firefighters and paramedics, including divers and swift water swimmers, responded to the scene and searched for several hours without success.
Late Tuesday, county police found the truck and continued the search Wednesday for Dimanche as the water receded.
Police say Dimanche’s death appears to be an accidental drowning.
