BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) - A Bullhead City man accused of assaulting his stepfather has turned himself in to police.
Bullhead City police say 36-year-old Lawrence Anthony Smilari was arrested Thursday on suspicion of aggravated assault per domestic violence.
It’s unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
Smilari allegedly got into an argument with his 69-year-old stepfather on May 6.
During the fight, Smilari allegedly pushed the man over the couch and punched him in the face several times while he was on the floor.
Authorities say the man suffered severe bruising and swelling to his face.
He was treated at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center and later flown to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada for further treatment.
Police say Smilari couldn’t be located and a felony warrant was issued for his arrest.
