WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - Starting Friday, Colonial Williamsburg is offering free admission to active military and veterans and their immediate dependents through the Memorial Day weekend.

The free admission runs through Memorial Day, and also applies to reservists and retired military.

Called the “Honoring Service to America” ticket, it provides admission to 30 historic trade sites, the Capitol and Governor’s Palace, art museums and more. The tickets will be provided to dependent family members of military personnel who are deployed. They must present appropriate identification.

A Memorial Day commemorative program is scheduled at the heritage tourism site on Monday.
