BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (AP) - Police have searched a Rhode Island home for clues in the disappearance of a 60-year-old Massachusetts man who went missing two weeks ago.
Authorities searched the property in Burrillville, Rhode Island, on Thursday in efforts to locate Domingo Ortiz of Worcester, Massachusetts. Police say Ortiz was visiting residents at the Burrillville house on Douglas Pike and was last seen there on May 5.
Burrillville’s police chief, Col. Stephen Lynch, says police didn’t find Ortiz during the search and haven’t made any arrests in the case. Officers were seen leaving the house with bags of evidence Thursday evening.
Lynch said the residents of the house appear to be “associates” of Ortiz and not relatives. He said police have been to the property before, but he declined to elaborate.
