CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Nearly 175 Daimler employees are teaming up with Habitat for Humanity to help some families get situated in their own homes.
The employees are teaming up with Habitat for Humanity of York County, South Carolina on Thursday. Volunteers will be inside the Charlotte Convention Center, working to frame up walls, floor joists, roof trusses and window and door openings.
These are all activities that typically take place at a Habitat construction site, but this week, all of the parts are being put together inside the convention center.
This year, Habitat in York County is serving 28 families. To learn more, donate or volunteer, go to www.yorkcountyhabitat.org .
