SHREWSBURY, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania family is seeking answers after its 10-month-old dog was fatally shot.

The York Daily Record reports (https://bit.ly/1JDq1wo) Hollie Englestad and her family are offering $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who shot the Husky-Shepard in Shrewsbury on Monday night.

Police say a 15-year-old family member was home alone with Dakota and another dog in a fenced-in backyard when the family member heard a gunshot.

Police say both dogs were at the back door but Dakota was bleeding. A neighbor was called to help and the dog was taken to a veterinary office and later died from the wound.
