GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - A district attorney says he’s reviewing a report from the Wisconsin Department of Justice on the shooting of a man who Green Bay police say stabbed an officer.

WBAY-TV (https://bit.ly/1IQOde5 ) reports Brown County District Attorney Dave Lasee is considering whether two officers were justified in fatally shooting 30-year-old Joseph Biegert. Lasee says he hopes to make a decision by next week.

Green Bay police say the two officers were performing a well-being check on Biegert at his apartment Feb. 24 when he stabbed one of them in the arm. The TV station reports both officers fired at Biegert.

The two officers were reassigned to administrative duty during the investigation, which is a standard procedure.
