TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - An Arkansas biker club member has been sentenced to a year in county jail for his role in a bar fight that left another man in need of facial reconstructive surgery.
A Miller County jury found 30-year-old Carl “Bouncer” Aaron, a member of the Fukowee motorcycle club, guilty of a lesser charge of misdemeanor battery in the 2013 fight, the Texarkana Gazette (https://bit.ly/1eiwaST ) reported.
Aaron testified on Tuesday that he punched David Huddleston in the face because Huddleston lunged at him. But Huddleston testified that he didn’t provoke Aaron.
Huddleston was knocked unconscious and eventually flown to a Hot Springs hospital, where he had surgery for fractured bones around his left eye. Huddleston said his medical bills totaled around $80,000.
Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Buck said she’s satisfied with the jury’s decision.
“The defendant will serve one year in jail. Unlike being sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Correction, he is not eligible for parole from a jail term and must serve every day of that sentence,” Black said.
