FORESTVILLE, Md. (AP) - The man suspected of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Prince George’s County was captured during a traffic stop.

Officers arrested 20-year-old Isiah Bogan in Forestville on Wednesday morning, a day after issuing a warrant for his arrest.

Authorities say on May 13, the girl reported a man followed her onto an elevator of an apartment building. When they stepped out of the elevator, the man forced the girl to the ground, assaulted her and then ran away.

Police say two days later, the girl’s mother spotted a man believed to be the assailant and tackled him to the ground. Although the man got away, the mother saw he had a neck tattoo that said “blessed” and a distinct birthmark or scar across his face.

It’s unclear if Bogan has a lawyer.
