LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) - Police in the north Idaho city of Lewiston say they have arrested a man who called 911 to report that a friend was dead in what might have been a suicide.

KHQ-TV of Spokane, Washington, reports (https://is.gd/JD3cej ) that officers found the body of 53-year-old David Cramer early Thursday in the living room of a home, covered in blood. Police became suspicious about the cause of death as they investigated, obtaining a search warrant and finally taking the 911 caller in for questioning.

They have arrested 53-year-old Patrick Nuxoll of Lewiston for investigation of first-degree murder and booked him into the Nez Perce County Jail.

Police haven’t said how Cramer died. An autopsy is planned.
