Police investigating after body found in Boise canal

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Boise police are investigating after a body was found in a canal.

KTVB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1FGuSgu ) that a citizen reported finding what appeared to be a submerged body in the Ridenbaugh Canal around 4 p.m. Thursday.

Boise police, firefighters and Ada County paramedics recovered the body.

Police are investigating what happened leading up to the body’s discovery. They will work with the Ada County coroner to identify the individual and determine the cause of death.
