BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) - A Rockingham County corrections officer has been indicted on charges alleging he spit at and threatened a county inmate who was in a jail cell.
The Portsmouth Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1IQR5HU ) the indictments against William Eusebio were brought by a grand jury and allege the crimes occurred on Feb. 10 at the Rockingham County House of Corrections.
The indictment identifies the inmate victim as David Ferreira.
Prison Superintendent Stephen Church says an investigation was launched into Eusebio’s alleged conduct and he was fired. He said Eusebio’s union is involved in the case and he has the right to appeal his dismissal.
Eusebio was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Rockingham County Superior Court. He does not have a listed phone number; court paperwork didn’t list a lawyer.
