MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say a stubborn fire has caused significant damage to three businesses that share a downtown Mount Vernon, Washington, building.

KOMO-TV of Seattle reports the fire started about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in a building housing a bail bond office and two restaurants. No injuries have been reported.

The Skagit Valley Herald says fire crews entered the building but later withdrew because of structural concerns.

Fire crews responded from Mount Vernon, Burlington and several Skagit County fire districts.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
