SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - A 26-year-old man has admitted to causing the death of a man by slamming his head into the concrete floor of an upstate New York bar last year.

Jeffrey Mann Jr. of Lake George pleaded guilty Wednesday in Saratoga County Court to criminally negligent homicide and assault.

Mann admitted he grabbed 31-year-old Aaron Huggins by the neck from behind and slammed his face into the floor at the Paddock Lounge in downtown Saratoga Springs early on the morning of Sept. 24. The Saratoga Springs resident suffered a traumatic brain injury and later died at Saratoga Hospital.

Police said the two men didn’t know each other. Officials say Mann attacked Huggins after the men had bumped into one another.

Huggins is survived by his wife and young son.

Mann will be sentenced July 23
