EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Ten people have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a West Texas-based methamphetamine ring that sent drugs to California, Illinois and Georgia.

Federal prosecutors in El Paso on Thursday announced the sentences ranging from nearly 21 years to 18 months behind bars.

All ten people earlier pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Investigators say the case involves crystal meth that was smuggled last year from Mexico.

Among those sentenced Tuesday was 44-year-old Edwardo Rodriguez of El Paso. He received the stiffest prison term - 250 months behind bars.
