POWHATAN, Va. (AP) - Police have arrested two men they say stole 30 handguns from a federally licensed firearms dealer in Virginia.

Multiple news outlets report the break-in occurred early Monday morning at American Family Pawn & Guns in Powhatan. Authorities said at least three people forced their way into the shop and smashed open display cases to steal a variety of handguns, including a number of semi-automatic pistols.

A U.S Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives spokesman says Jonathan Xavier Thorne and Jerell Markes Broadie were arraigned in federal court Thursday and charged with stealing firearms. He says more people may be arrested. The men will face a detention hearing next Tuesday.
