FLINT, Mich. (AP) - A second man charged in the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery driver in Flint formerly worked with the man and reportedly showed up at a memorial gathering.
The Flint Journal reports Ahquan Lay was charged Thursday in the April 21 slaying of 27-year-old Cottage Inn delivery driver David Fuller.
Lay faces charges including first-degree murder. Court records didn’t list a lawyer for him.
Police say Lay and a co-defendant used a cellphone app to disguise their phone number when they placed a pizza order, knowing Fuller would likely have cash. Investigators say Lay orchestrated the shooting and watched it from nearby.
WNEM-TV reports Lay showed up to a gathering held by family and friends at the scene. Prosecutors say the killing may have been related to a gang initiation.
