FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Four men accused of brutally beating a man outside of a Fargo bar last weekend have all been charged with murder.

Authorities announced Friday that 35-year-old Joey Gaarsland died as a result of the beating. He had been in the hospital since early Sunday, in critical condition with a brain injury.

KFGO-AM reports that Jessy Olson, Scott Moen and Jason Oien have all been charged with murder and aggravated assault. They’re all from Fargo. Nicholas Morris, of Denver, is also facing the same charges.

The men are accused of punching and kicking Gaarsland after he was already unconscious.

Authorities say Gaarsland’s wife and a bystander also were assaulted in the altercation that started inside Rick’s Bar and continued later in the parking lot.
