NEW YORK (AP) - U.S Air Force Thunderbirds will be flying over New York City as part of a photo mission.

Officials say six F-16 fighter jets will travel from Long Island along the southern shore and cross over the Verrazano Bridge beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The jets will then fly up the east side of the Hudson River to the Tappan Zee Bridge, back down on the west side of the river, and then back up again before they’re done.

During the one hour mission the planes will be flying at an altitude of between 1,500 to 2,000 feet.
