HOPE, Ark. (AP) - Police in Hope say two people have been arrested in connection with the July 2014 beating death of a man in the southwest Arkansas city.

Assistant Police Chief Kimberly Tomlin told reporters that a man was arrested Thursday afternoon for capital murder in the July 2, 2014, death of 57-year-old Gary Tubberville of Hope. Tubberville was found beaten inside his home on the city’s south side.

Tomlin also said a woman was arrested for hindering apprehension or prosecution in the case.

Both suspects are being held in the Hempstead County jail.
