Atlanta man dies after being shot in leg during argument

ATLANTA (AP) - Police say an Atlanta man is dead after he was shot in the leg during an argument.

WSB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1HmcBA7 ) the shooting happened late Thursday at an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta. Police say they found a man in his 50s who had been shot once in the leg. The man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.

Atlanta Police Lt. Charles Hampton says a witness told officers that the victim had been yelling and arguing with another person before he was shot. Police say they don’t know what the argument was about.

Police said Friday they’re still looking for the shooter, who fled the apartment complex. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
