Boston-bound American flight returns to Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (AP) - An American Airlines flight bound for Boston has returned to Los Angeles International Airport.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says American Flight 202 returned due to an unspecified equipment issue.

Gregor says the Boeing 737 landed without incident at about 2:10 p.m. Friday.

There was no immediate information on the nature of the problem.
