FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A committee overseeing a proposed new City Hall in Fargo has accepted architects’ recommendations for more than $3 million in cuts to the plans.

Bids for the building came in 10 percent higher than expected in March, with the lowest bid at $30.4 million. The revised project lowers the cost to about $27 million.

The new plan keeps the same location and overall look but saves money by making electrical, mechanical, and minor structural and design changes.

The new plan now goes to the City Commission for final approval.
