PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has appointed a lawyer for the state Attorney General’s Office and a county prosecutor to serve as judges in Maricopa County.

Ted Campagnolo of the Attorney General’s Office and Laura Reckart from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office were appointed to fill vacancies created by the retirements of Maricopa County Superior Court Judges Brian Ishikawa and Carey Snyder Hyatt.

Reckart is known for winning a case in 2009 against Dale Hausner, one of two people charged with killing six people in metro Phoenix’s Serial Shooter attacks.

Campagnolo serves in the fraud and special prosecutions section of the Attorney General’s Office and worked as a Maricopa County prosecutor earlier in his career.
