DANVILLE, Va. (AP) - A Danville fire official says a building at a fiberboard plant sustained heavy damage from a fire.

Danville Fire Department battalion chief Chris Key says the fire occurred Thursday afternoon in the asphalt boiler room building at Blue Ridge Fiberboard.

Key says in a news release that plant workers were fighting the fire when firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.

Key says the fire also caused heavy damage to the building’s contents.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
