LAS VEGAS (AP) - Metro Police shot a dog in Las Vegas after officers responded to reports that two dogs attacked a person in the southeast valley.

The Las Vegas Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1ISu0Vb ) that officers responded just before 1 p.m. Thursday. One of the dogs was shot. The other is still on the loose in the area.

The incident took place in a residential area near Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue.
