DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - U.S. military service members from western Ohio who died serving in conflicts from World War II to the present will be honored with a memorial service at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.
The Air Force Research Laboratory Sensors Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton is sponsoring the roll call service on Friday at the museum’s outdoor memorial park. U.S. service members from the Miami Valley region are being honored at the event
An official with the Sensors Directorate says the service was planned in remembrance of men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and their families.
The guest speaker is retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Jack Hudson, who is director of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force
