OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals has rejected the appeal of an Altus man who was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder.

Forty-seven-year-old Manuel Daniel Junior was convicted in 2014 of the 2012 stabbing death of Melissa Bost in Altus.

The court’s ruling released Friday rejects Daniel’s claims of insufficient evidence; irrelevant, misleading and prejudicial evidence; ineffective counsel; and violations of his rights of due process and to receive a fair trial.

Prosecutors said Daniel stabbed Bost to death during a drug transaction.
