ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say three people were arrested after a road rage incident led to an altercation with a hammer in Atlantic City High School’s parking lot.

The Press of Atlantic City reports (https://bit.ly/1GtfxPm ) police went to the school Thursday after security reported a fight stemming from a road rage incident.

Authorities say drivers of two cars began yelling at each other. One of the drivers, a 34-year-old woman, threw a hammer at the other. That car’s 39-year-old driver picked up the hammer and continued driving.



Once at the school, the 39-year-old woman hit the other driver with the hammer. She wasn’t seriously injured.

The 39-year-old was charged with aggravated assault. The 34-year-old and a 14-year-old student in the car were charged with simple assault.

Police didn’t release their identities.
