COLLINGDALE, Pa. (AP) - Police are looking for the thieves who made off with nearly 20 firearms during an early-morning smash-and-grab robbery in suburban Philadelphia.
Authorities say it happened just after 4 a.m. Thursday when at least three men broke through the front window of Suburban Armory. Once inside the Delaware County gun shop, the men smashed several display cases and gathered up glocks, revolvers and other weapons in less than three minutes.
The thieves took off in two separate vehicles with at least 18 firearms. Authorities say they expect to release surveillance video from the vicinity of the shop soon.
Collingdale Police Chief Robert Adams says no ammunition was taken.
This is the third time the store has been targeted by thieves.
