PRINGLE, Pa. (AP) - Police say a Pennsylvania woman was high on synthetic marijuana with her child dazed and confused in the car.

The Citizens Voice reports (https://bit.ly/1BgxnyS) 28-year-old Tara Kozak has been charged with child endangerment, reckless endangerment, drug possession and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Kingston police were alerted Wednesday of two semi-responsive people and a child in a car at a Big Lots parking lot in Pringle, about 15 miles southwest of Scranton.

When police and medics arrived, Kozak appeared high and the car smelled like synthetic marijuana.

Police arrested her and brought the child to a hospital. Children and Youth caseworkers have responded.

Kozak was arraigned Wednesday. She’s jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail pending a May 27 preliminary hearing. Online court records don’t list a lawyer to comment on the charges.
