SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police say a 25-year-old woman is in critical condition after her boyfriend purposely hit her with his car.
Salt Lake City police say 29-year-old Anthony Robert Vigil was arrested Thursday evening shortly after his girlfriend was struck and injured in Salt Lake City.
Police detective Cody Lougy told the Deseret News (https://bit.ly/1Bg9VSp ) that the woman has been hospitalized with critical injuries.
Her identity has not been released.
Vigil was being held Friday in the Salt Lake County jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and five other charges. He has not yet been charged and does not have a listed attorney.
Police have not released any suspected motive for the incident.
