MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) - A woman has a broken ankle and other injuries after being struck by a sport utility vehicle as it crashed into a suburban Detroit tanning salon.
Thursday afternoon’s crash was recorded on surveillance video at the tanning salon in Madison Heights.
The woman was walking in front of the business when she was hit. Police say a 77-year-old woman driving the SUV may have had a medical condition.
The woman who was hit was listed in stable condition. The driver and her passenger were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.
Surveillance video showing the crash was broadcast by TV stations including WDIV (https://bit.ly/1Bg2YRe ). The crash is under investigation.
