NEW YORK (AP) - A flyover by the Air Force Thunderbirds is part of New York Fleet Week.

Seven planes are part of the late-morning spectacle on Friday. They’re flying from Long Island to New York City, then along the Hudson River.

On Wednesday, a parade of ships along the Hudson ushered in the Fleet Week festivities.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is hosting numerous events as part of the 27th annual celebration.

A Memorial Day commemoration ceremony will include the unfurling of a 100-foot American flag, the playing of taps, a wreath laying and a rifle salute.
