ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - An investigation is underway after a 26—year-old inmate at the Anchorage Correctional Complex died.
KTVA reports (https://is.gd/P13LyO ) two nearby inmates told corrections officers that Alexis Hathaway was have difficulty breathing Thursday evening.
Medics were called and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:42 p.m. Thursday. He was jailed Wednesday morning on a felony driving under the influence charge.
No other information was immediately available from the state corrections department. Alaska State Troopers are investigating Hathaway’s death.
